We offer honest hosting reviews of quality web hosting services that are both dependable and affordable. There are many web
hosting review sites on the net. The truth is that many of these sites rank their recommendations based solely on the commission
they get from their top web hosting recommendation.
At My Affordable Web Hosting this is simply not true. While we have partnered with several of our recommendations, with a
little research you would find that there are many other companies that would pay us more to instead recommend them.
But we don’t.
Why? Because we know visitors will recommend sites that truly help them to friends who are looking for high-quality, affordable
web hosting services. It’s better for our long-term business plan and more importantly, better for the end user (that’s YOU!)
So how do we collect our information? Do we join every site? No. While we do try to fairly evaluate web hosts based on the service
rendered firsthand, it would be nearly impossible to join every host we’ve come across. More importantly, we would not be able to
accurately test their support unless we had websites, scripts and databases running on every host’s server and then encountered a
problem with each that required an ample amount of assistance. And to be fair, this would have to happen multiple times with each
host for us to accurately assess service quality.
So then, what do we do? We use a custom web-scraping mechanism that gathers references to hosts (at the time of writing we
have over 150 in the database.) From here, we compile and calculate the amount of positive references vs. the amount of negative
references. Of course, we also take into account the amount of reviews altogether...because 1 positive review and 0 negative does
not necessarily make a host reliable. We further “de-junk” the list by considering affordability, performing manual server uptime
checks and by weighing in word of mouth from the most knowledgeable hosting experts we have met over the years.
Then, after a few more steps that we’d prefer not to reveal (our competition likes to visit us) we come out with a list of affordable
web hosts that are reliable, established and that provide real value for the consumer.
But enough rambling, you’ve come to find a reliable and affordable web hosting company, not read an essay. Keep in mind that,
as new hosts enter the industry and services change (price fluctuations, etc) we may revise/reorder this list. Feel free to bookmark
